Dharma of Contemplation
Wipe the mind and body of its habits to find novelty of all kinds.
Before there was existence,
There was no day or night,
No matter, no time, no light,
There, we must seek insight.
So before the light of dawn,
Before the Earth takes form,
Let us find a peaceful place,
Hidden from worldly storm.
In twilight’s forgiving hush,
Take asana in warm repose,
Allow our minds to unwind,
Your struggles and woes.
Absorb the scents of nature,
The grass beneath the feet,
The whisper of autumn leaves,
Let them your senses greet.
With every breath you take,
Step into a deeper state,
Of crystal clear awareness,
Where stillness is your fate.
And in this tranquil refuge,
We touch the foundation,
Shiva, the eternal Dharma,
The essence of meditation.
